Wow! Those are some seriously impressive results. Thanks very much for the update. The stalwart determination to maintain this level of excellence is understood & very much appreciated. As has been mentioned by a previous commenter here, it is quite the treat whenever one of these exceptional Library History books (or any previously ordered additional books) shows up at my doorstep. Like Christmas arriving early!
Thank you, Castalia House! Looking forward to Bello Gallico.
Long-term thinking is one of the reasons I can be patient. Problems don't fix themselves, generally. Coming online takes time; I have been confident it will be worth the wait.
The books are really incredible in hand. https://stack.castalialibrary.com/p/breaking-down-the-backlog I get a similar feeling using Goldbacks to make purchases. It's knowing People worked at making it beautiful and functional and timeless. When it's time to expand the subscription options, I nominate a series on Western Civilizations and America's foundational law principles. Thomas Paine, John Locke, Blackstone, The Federalist, etc...
That the pigskin is the most difficult to source has the cast of some dark shame of society, a vision of ancestors of various countries comes to mind, all looking with disapproval.
Solemn angelic monks raise their hands in supplication, begging the forgiveness of the wretched masses.
Well, anyway wonderful work you are doing.
Enduring work.
Hopefully you won't have to end up growing the pigs yourselves down the line.
Definitely worth the wait! Everytime I see my misaligned Aristotle books on the shelf another piece of my soul dies!! Nonsense aside thanks for the diligence in making sure we are receiving quality work.
Thanks for the update, I had been wondering, since it has been reported many times by VD that the new bindery is almost ready. But such is life. I'm glad you switched fully away from Bindtech and I'm looking forward to seeing your new books in pigskin.
I hope you fixed the glue problems you've had. The last page of my Meditations non-gilded test edition was lose from the cover on receiving the book, and shortly after it completely separated from the cover. I never heard back from you on that one, but I suppose I might be able to glue it, though I don't really know what to use.

As a subscriber to Library, History, and Catherdra, I very, very, very much appreciate the commitment to excellence in spite of the easier route.
Thank you so much for holding the line and developing the Most Beautiful Books in the World!
I’m a proud supporter and I can’t wait to have Caesar sitting next to cartoon mice on my shelf!
Tamburn's book is at the upper-tier medieval monk level. I haven't seen anything like it in a long, long time.
I am buying these books here for their quality. So take the time needed, please.
Thanks for the update.
I have all 4 subs and glad to hear things are moving along. No one wants a trash book at premium prices.
I appreciate the commitment to the highest quality printing and more than happy to wait patiently for the next production.
Looks incredible!

Can Castalia clear the backlog during global fuel supply disruption?
Yes. We already have the most difficult-to-source elements in stock, the pigskin.

Is there a up to date list of books listed anywhere?

Castalia books are meant to get there when they get there. They aren’t pizzas or Amazon overnight garbage.
