February Library Update
The bindery is officially operational
It has been a very, very long and arduous journey, but at last, we believe we have everything in place to start the regular manufacturing process of large print runs of high-quality leather books. Right now, we’re in the process of binding the first of five print runs for which we’ve received the finished book blocks, which are gilded and readdy for binding, including:
Icelandic Edda
Dracula
History of the Freedom of Thought
De Bella Gallico
Quo Vadis
You can see a picture of one of the bound Edda’s below. This was a test sample, so it’s bound, but neither stamped nor hubbed, and it’s the wrong color leather, but the quality of the pigskin binding is the best we’ve accomplished to date.
A number of the other Library, History, and Cathedra books are already being printed, gathered, and gilded, and we’ll be providing updates as the book blocks are finished. Among them are the two Cathedra books. We’ve also begun printing the two final volumes of the leather Junior Classics. And finally, I’m very pleased to be able to say that we’ve finished the layout for our longest outstanding book, The Arts of War, which clocks in at 494 pages and is possibly the greatest collection of ancient military works in a single volume.
And finally, we have completed the initial translation of The Tale of Genji and are presently going over the hundreds of waka to ensure that each of them are properly calibrated to the poetic talents of the character to whom they are attributed. Since it is an original translation, we will be releasing an ebook version of the two volumes which will be provided to all of the Library subscribers when it is complete.
One final note that may or may not be of interest to Library subscribers. As there were a number of requests concerning the series of Veriphysics posts that have been running daily at Vox Popoli, Castalia House has released an ebook edition of Veriphysics: The Treatise, The Failure of the Enlightened Mind and the Path Toward Truth. We do not have any plans to do a leather edition of it, as it is only 84 pages.

Thank you for the update on the Arts of War!
Awesome, thanks for the updates! Would be cool to see "Veriphysics: The Treatise" make it into leatherbound in some shape or form, maybe as part of a collection of shorter works. Regardless, Veriphysics has been very illuminating about why the world we live in today works the way it does.
