I find the non-fiction books more satisfying for a daily excerpt. I really liked reading Guns of Mars, but I found myself really wanting to just finish the narrative, so I purchased the e-book and went through it after only about a quarter of the daily posts, whereas the daily posts of Rhetoric and The Art of War in the Middle Ages left me with nicely paced chunks to digest before the next one came out. If it's between the two mentioned, my vote is for History of Florence.
