We are rapidly approaching the launch of Castalia Unlimited. More than 100 titles are already available in the system, many of which are exclusive to Unlimited and have never been available in English before. Below is a preview of the Historical Fiction catalogue shown in alphabetical order. We expect to launch sometime in mid-November with more than 150 titles available.
Since we don’t wish to set up and manage a separate site, we’ve added an Unlimited section to this substack. There are two ways we can handle the existing subscriptions. One is to simply send out both Library and Unlimited posts to all of the existing subscribers. The other is to launch Unlimited on an opt-in basis.
It makes absolutely no difference to us, but just as we don’t want to send unwanted emails to anyone, we also don’t want to make everyone have to opt-in if most people are planning to do so anyhow. Hence, this reader’s poll.
If you have any questions about Unlimited, feel free to ask them in the comments. Some of the works in the library you will be anticipating, some of the others are downright beyond anything you could have imagined. For example, this is the first of the 13 military histories of the most famous battles of feudal Japan compiled by the General Staff of the Meiji-era Imperial Japanese Army.
We’re also very pleased to say that two excellent authors have graciously given us permission to include a large number of their works in the Unlimited library. If you haven’t signed up for the Unlimited mailing list yet, you can do so here.

Question for Castalia Unlimited. Will you have a reader available when you launch? I unfortunately bought into Kindle and almost all of my books are in that format. If not, do you have a Reader you recommend?
Ideally, both the physical books and unlimited ebooks posts will be able to be opted in or out. I'm downsizing in retirement, so won't be buying many (if any) printed books, but look forward to reading lots of books via Castalia Unlimited.
